what happened to DV8?

I've asked a total of two. I didn't realize this was such a touchy subject.

Judging by the coded half answers I am getting, suggestions to take my inquiries to PM and private messages received on the subject, I must have missed something.

It's cool though, I don't care enough to dig further, and I'll quit recommending them for firearms related services.

Don't get pissy. I just wondered why if you had questions you did not go to the owner. I know 300 is still a member. I don't visit because it is a long way for me to drive. I quit smoking and don't vape. To my knowledge it is not a touchy subject, but apparently you have some other reason for asking, cause it sure pissed you off. I don't know why you would act that way toward me, but as you say, that is cool. Next time I want to find out is you are still a member, I will start a thread. Geez.

Well I heard through the vine that dv8 sold some of their remaining cerakote products to another store, so I was under the impression the program went 100% to vape.

Did you knock on the door? I think they lock it if they are working in the back area.

That is correct. When we are in the back we lock up the shop, we don't feel safe leaving it open when we are back there. Have done that since day one. It is impossible to hear anyone if they come in.


We are by appt only, I will make an update on the website to reflect that change in our hours. We apologize to anyone that has made a trip in to see us only to have a locked door.

Not pissed off or getting pissy. 300 Used to be all over this dang forums doing giveaways, meet and greets, charity work, cerakote work, and hog hunts. I just noticed I hadn't seen him or mention of DV8 in a while and thought it was odd. Figured someone knew what was up. Since starting this thread I have gotten PMs and responses in the thread that all sound fishy.

Sorry if my post offended me, but yours was not the first telling me that I was asking too many questions and that if I wanted to know I should PM 300.


For for the record, I was asking about DV8 the company, not 300AACHoghunter the member. I did not realize it was abnormal to start a thread asking questions about a company.

I don't know what happened with these guys and truth be told, I don't really care. If there as some past drama with them I certainly missed it but whatever. From the response I have gotten from asking a stupid question I'm certainly glad I have never done business with these guys nor will I ever recommend them again. This is freaking ridiculous.

NWS, I find it rather funny that Bear44 has an answer, and he did not start a thread. Owner, member, I don't see a problem. But hey, it is floats your boat to ask about someone who is a member in open forum, have at it. I provided you with a sure fire way to find out exactly what you wanted, information. It is not abnormal to start a thread about a company, but this company is on ODT, and you know how to PM them. Surely you don't think I have anything to do with the business. I have been there ONE time. But if I had a question, I am sure I could PM them and ask.

I did not answer you to get a pissy smartassed reply from you. And you are right about one thing, this is freaking ridiculous.
