The Chevette, shove it, as I called it was actually a good car. Just don't over rev the engine. Knew someone that got @ 400k on it.Well I couldn't pick just one. But then again...If I wanted something to drive semi daily then of course the Jag and Alfa would not make the cut. I just love boxy two door cars. That's why I put the Chevy 2, Falcon/Comet and Volvo 242 on my list. Color me boring but I would also really dig a Fairmont two door sedan with ALL the Fox body Mustang goodies bolted on including the 5.0 from a late 90s Explorer.
Last month I was taking my last daughter to night classes in Warner Robins and I saw something I ain't seen in decades and didn't expect to see again. But since it was Chrimmuh time I didn't even stop to find out how much it was. Anyway what it was that almost made me wreck looking at it was a Chevette two door. For the longest time I wanted a Chevette to cram the 4.3 engine and transmission from an S10 into. That would make a great sleeper ride. But they're all but gone now. And the few that remain are at least as expensive as the aforementioned Fairmont.
Remember when it was a 1/4 mile strip??Dallas dragstrip ?? (Southeastern dragstrip is the official name I think )
Spent many Saturday nights there running ! Lol

Getcha a 63 Ford Galaxie 427 with 2 4sWhen I was just before driving age one of my best friends had a 63 Comet coupe that his folks had repainted in really bright red at the best paint shop in town. But he STILL didn't like it. I wanted it SO bad and my folks wouldn't buy it even at the $1500ish price because I was ONLY 14 at the time. That still pisses me off.
Dude those Siamese cats taillights and that roofline. It was like a Falcon but more refined. Hell I can just barely stand to watch Andy Griffith reruns to this day cause of all them cool old Fords.
Can't believe what those old Porsche bringLate 80's 930 turbo convertible, with a manual transmission.
