I have a Monarch spring assisted opening that I got for $12.99 at Academy. I bought it because I seem to lose all the good knives I buy. I had a Boker side opener that I got from crazy uncle Vernon. But it was bigger,bulkier and slower opening than this $13.00 Monarch. So I gave the Boker switchblade tomy son.

My Boker Kalishnikov is pretty fast. I think it is probably faster than my Benchmade Presidio Auto....but haven't really timed them. I will have to look at this Monarch. I am always looking for good cheap knives to carry....as I keep the good expensive ones in the safe.
