I'm half and half right now between breakfree and frog lube.

According to their instructions, to properly apply frog lube you have to remove all of the petro-based oils before applying. I use brake cleaner to remove the petro-residue.

Then you should heat up the surfaces you are applying the FL to. Hair dryer or heat gun.

Seems to work great after all of the work to apply it correctly. Never had a rash issue though, and I use it on a RIA compact .45 and Versa-carry rig. I do wear a t-shirt between me and my EDC.

I use Lucus Gun oil. My shotguns cycle flawlessly and my A bolts work great with it.

I don't heat up the surface when using Froglube. I just apply it at room temp and let it set a little longer before wiping off excess. Seems to do fine without heat. I keep my weapons clean and lubed all the time so I don't really worry about it and the actions feel so smooth after. It's great stuff!

What is the cheapest way to purchase ballistol? straight from the site? ebay? find a local store (for me that's general hardware in Brookhaven)?

How quickly do you find yourself running through say the 6oz aerosol can?
