All kinds of hard Rock..Lynchburg VA. has the best Rock station in the USA PERIOD. I use to think Rock 100 The Cat in Norman OK. was the bomb but ours up here blows its lungs out. They play it all from the 80's to current for instance; Rat, Dokken, Judas Priest, Disturbed, Ozzy, Chris Cornell, Ghost, Motley Crue, White Snake, Tesla, Corn, Guns and Roses, Buck Cherry, Scorpions, The Cult, Mega Death, Metallica, KISS, Black Sabath, Ronnie James Dio, God Smack and you name it. Plus all the new hard bands I am not familiar with but are great. If it's hard Rock and Medal they play it. No whiney ass bull manure. It's all good. You never have to change the station because there is a song you don't like. They do not play around. Everything they play is awesome music. Just when you think it can't get any better they come out and surprise you.
I listened to 103.5 outta Knoxville for quite a while in the garage yesterday working on my wife's car. It is a carbon copy of Macon's Q106 - One long loop of Pink Floyd, CCR, Zep, some Sabbath, Eagles etc. It's basically filler.
There is a radio station up here called WDVX 89.9 and it is a super cool station. They broadcast out of downtown Knoxville and play bluegrass, old country, rockabilly, punk and a ton of other stuff. Really neat station.
