What was your 'dead unicorn'?

Steyr AUG NATO Stock:

Had a lot going for it, quick change barrel, comfortable ergonomics, but heavy, bad trigger, and no bolt release on the NATO stock (have to use the charging handle). I bought a tavor and never looked back.

AK in x39:

Accuracy / optics mounting negated it being a deer rifle. Not fun to shoot more than 100 rounds in one range session. Bolt hold open? Lol...

I found one chambered in 5.56 which I enjoy much better.

PMR-30 until I learned how to load the mags
Nagant revolver (for the DA pull)
AK's in general. I wanted an AK as a child (but a M16 more). But I just don't care for the fit/feel/finish. That said, I bought three parts kits to build. (Polish Krink, Yugo M70 fixed, and underfolder)

for a while, I thought a Sub2000 in Glock 9mm would be cool... then I realized that an underfolder AK would be about the same size. I have not acquired the underfolder.... yet!

USFA zip .22
-An awesome idea, horrible execution. Every 10/22 mag you use has to have a $9 fix-it-kit and people still complain it jams every other round

PSL
-Iconic weapon, miserable groupings, crap optics (4x or 8x), and horrible pricing once they bumped past $300

GSG 522
-My spyder paintball gun has a more authentic feel than the tupperware plastic of a GSG522
