1st 1965 (got it in 1972) Rambler Stationwagon, 3 on the tree, 199ci, one barrell, no A/C, sold it for $300
2nd 1968 (got it in 1976) Chev Nova, 4 door, no A/C, 3 on the tree, 230ci, sold it for $700
3rd 1978 Honda Accord (brand new $4000.00 tax, title out the door), first car with A/C and a built in radio, drove it for 200,000 miles, messed up the front end and sold it for $1200
4th 1978 (got it in 1983) paid $225 (all I had after paying off credit cards with the Honda money), Dodge Dart Swinger, A/C, 225 slant six, plastic dropcloth for seat cover, put 4 recaps on it (Sears was going out of the recap line, $15.00 each m/b), drove it 22 months, slung a rod but did not stop until home. Sold it for $175.00 and he drug it off. BEST CAR ever I had!!

Mine was a 1965 Rambler 550, station wagon. It was a tank with a 199 in-line 6.

1966 Rambler 440 station wagon.......wrecked when a drunk driver hit me on the drivers side in 1977.

1969 Mustang no a/c... bought it used in 1972 for $1500.....sold it in 1974 during my 3rd year of college.....bought a new 1974 Toyota Corolla SR5 for $3100 without air....bought a new Corvette in 1976 for $9200 and it had air!... sold it 3 yrs later for $8800 and the proceeds made the down payment on my first house.... I found the Corvette about 10 yrs ago... the same person has it.... it's a two owner car....( i bet you can't buy a new Corvette now and drive it 3+ years and only lose $400)

89 f150 took me 3 summers to pay my old man back for it. Traded it in on my first new!

I remember it being a lot cooler when I was in high school. 1988 Volkswagen Golf GTI. Mine was green though. I destroyed it over a period of about 4 years. Had my parents ever had a clue about how fast it was, they never would have let me have it.

I hear ya. When I was 16 My parents let me buy a car with a 429 cobra jet engine

My dad just couldn't understand how come he back tires were always needing replaced. And why the read differential bearings wouldn't last more than six months
