what you know about a 12 hour day?

14 hours a day 5 days a week is enough for me. Weekends are rare if I am working, but sometimes it happens.

and this is what i wanted to hear

most folks on here value and understand works pays off. i dont typically have 12 hour days (most of mine are like 10 counting traffic)

as i get older however im starting to value putting in work and effort more and realize its returns are worth it

Anymore that's not the case as people have been doing it to keep their jobs long enough that employers expect it.

I have experienced it first hand with multiple companies. The one I'm at now i used to work 70 to 80 hours a week workin 7 days a week for about a year with overtime and the owner still thinks I have a ****ty work ethic

not cool of the guy but people who dont treat their employees with respect end up losing in the long run generally (at least for small business)

Air Force for 23 years, stuck on rotating shift work, 4 3p - 11p, 24 hours off, 4 11p - 7a, 24 hours off, 4 7a - 3p, 96 hours off. Only good thing was when big 3 day break came along it sometime fell in the middle of the week so great time for camping, traveling, shopping at the BX when all the day workers weren't there. After a while days of the week don't matter anymore, just what the julian date was and the time on the GMT clocks.

Too much work is not worth it it alot of cases. I work 24hrs then Im off for 48hrs. I know many guys that have a SECOND and/or THIRD 24hr shift directly after the first one.

They do not have any kind of relationship with thier families. But they have new cars and big houses filled with nice stuff.

Which would you rather have? Nice new STUFF, or a wife and kid that loves and knows you?
