Interesting topic. I am pretty new to ODT and I have purchased or traded for 5 guns in my short time here. Honestly it would have been more but I am afraid of some thinking my offer is a low ball offer. Example you have your Glock 19 listed for 650 because you bought it at the height of the panic. It might be worth 475 to me and me having cash and being willing to drive to you might be worth it to you but I would never make the offer for fear of being considered a low baller. This is a hypothetical example to make my point. I really don't understand how you can list something for sale then be offended by the offers you get. As sellers we have the right to not respond, give a polite no thanks, start a negotiation, etc. I can assure you ads I open that start with a threat to low ballers I close and move on regardless of my interest. Just my opinion.

Flippers

I had an item for sale a while back and got an offer $200.00 less than I had it listed for. I replied with "Wow, that's a low offer. How about we get a little closer and we can do this." I came down, he went up and we both were happy.

I sent a PM to a guy explaining what I would give him for his item (below dealer cost) if it didn't sell and he needed quick cash. A few days later I get a PM and we met. We're both happy.

We have a standard offer in my group of friends....."Fi dolla!" and we start from there. Low offers don't bother me a bit.

good explanation.... Neither bother me.... Flippers are able to find or obtain something I can't... if they ask too much... I will not buy it.... to each their own...
