Three first one that comes to mind would be from a Winchester.22 that was down behind the seat of a truck I had bought. When I tried to return it, the man toid me I bought the truck and its contents. I carried the gun over to a friend's house and was showing it to him, when some ducks came flying over. He bet me I couldn't hit one, so I raised the rifle, took aim, and fired. The duck dropped from the sky. Not only did I hit it, but I hit it in the head.
When we first moved here, we had a problem with feral cats. I watched my wife, who had only shot a gun a handful of times, hit one in the ear, as it ran across the yard. The shot was about 60'.
