When you make stupid choices.....

They spent 5 grand restoring the old boat?

What did they have done, just the upholstery?

This story doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
It would take 5 grand just to stock the boat for an around the world trip. Oh wait? They could catch fish to eat and have the whole ocean to drink!

This wasnt like going out in a runabout across a lake... You don’t see the difference between “Caution to the wind” and stupidity? Yikes... How about the “Emergency Services “ that were called and put their life on the line to save these idiots....

The only difference is a matter of opinion whether or not it was stupidity or they threw caution to the wind.

As far as the Emergency services, those guys signed up to do exactly what they did. If you think for one second that they'd rather be playing checkers versus doing what they train for on a everyday basis, I'd be willing to wager that they'd rather save stupid people's lives.

As mentioned before, I don't think that they put a lot of thought into it, but who am I to say that they're stupid? I would hate for someone to say I'm stupid every time I made a decision, no matter how poorly executed it was. At least they weren't put robbing and stealing.

Throwing caution to the wind IS stupidity. Real adventurers are some of the most cautious and well organized people you will ever meet.

Again, from your completely clueless perspective they did put innocent people at risk.. But because “signed up” then thats ok...

honestly not gonna lie, i've met some pretty adventurous guys from big game hunters, to cave divers, and deep jungle biologists. been about 50/50 in my experience, sometimes going balls first does lead to results.
