Ammo will dry up again Then people will be reloading again Primers will be $200+ a box again and selling It;s just a vicious cycle

I was new to reloading when sandy hook happened. Primers jumped up to $60 per 1000. Lgs said they’d never seen primers that high. I bought way too many at those prices. Then prices fell back. There were several spikes over the next few years that coincided with highly publicized shooting and/or political concerns followed by prices falling yet again. Fast forward to shortly before Covid and some online stores had cases of 12,000 spp for well under $400. No question prices are cyclical and directly impacted by violence and politics. I’m quite confident we’ll see prices back under $50 per 1000 (& likely significantly lower) in the coming years. Then something will happen and we’ll start the cycle again.

Yeah, it sucks but, I have successfully started. I have everything I need to load a couple hundred rounds, I just need to build my bench. I wish I started at least buying components in 2016 but, it still beats buying 308!
