Old milsurp stuff like 7.7 Jap, 8mm Lebel, 6.5 Swede, .303 Brit, you're definitely better off loading your own over the short haul.Depending on the gauge or caliber, it can still be cost effective to reload.
Reloading also allows me to have specific rounds that are not readily available.
I think you just about have to.Friends who are into long range pay more for a box of 20 than I pay for a flat of 250 shells for shotgun.
They are all reloading
Wher I live it'd be $133.37 per 1,000 since you can only buy 1k.Here is a prime example. I just got this notification.View attachment 4908312
Yep, and it’s not happening at all. I was at a Match last weekend and one of the vendors was selling 50,000 Ginex primers SPP or SRP for $69/1000. I was interested till he said Ginex.Wher I live it'd be $133.37 per 1,000 since you can only buy 1k.

Are they problematic? I think I've loaded and fired a couple thousand of those without issues.Yep, and it’s not happening at all. I was at a Match last weekend and one of the vendors was selling 50,000 Ginex primers SPP or SRP for $69/1000. I was interested till he said Ginex.
Luckily I can be selective on primers for a long while. But if I was low or running out, then I would use them. All the ones I had, I traded for other stuff. Are they problematic? I think I've loaded and fired a couple thousand of those without issues.
