I’m finally getting into reloading and have gotten a good bit of used tools and parts from a gentleman from his father’s collection. Some of what he has is older live ammo and I’m trying to figure out the best way to dispose of it for him. Any suggestions on where I could take it or the proper way to dispose of it?

You may find someone willing to shoot it? But I’m not positive, but I don’t think you could cell it here on odt..

Tear them apart and use the components, throw the powder on the flowers
Pull bullets, dump powder. keep the projectiles and primed cases

The way the supply is I’d tear it down and recycle what I could or if it’s a caliber you don’t use sell the unusable parts. I have carefully pressed out primers and reused them during the Obama shortages. I seemed to lose a anvil out of about 1 in 10, the rest all went bang when they were supposed to after reloading them.
Drill a hole in a board and stick them in it… backup a bit and shoot the primers with a 22lr… no velocity to cause any damage anywhere. Super fun to do with shotgun shells and a 1” hole in a 4x4… such a blast… pun definitely intended
