Which of these is the least worthless junk scope ?

I've decided to try my hand at a little 50yd paper punching with a 22. I have an ok rifle, but no scope and no $. I've been offered the loan of 1 of 3 cheapos by a friend.

All are 4-12 x 40 AO.
BSA sweet 22
Bushnell banner
Viridian Venta, (never heard of that one).

any thoughts on the one to pick ?

50 yards 22? any of them and you have a good time doing that. You can buy something more expensive later if you wanna have even more fun.I have the Bushnell on my bull barrel Savage 22LR works for me

I have that Bushnell on a 22. I haven't used it in a long time, but it has worked well so far. I had the identical scope on a 308. It worked well until it lost zero. Then the company didn't stand behind their warranty. I don't buy Bushnell products anymore because of that

Any scope would have to be a raging pile of poo if it can't hold zero on a .22 anything. I would say in those choices the question should be reticle and how clear the glass is.

I have the BSA sweet on my savage 22 and like it.

I had a BSA sweet 22 on my Ruger 10/22. And it worked just fine for years. I eventually sold that to a buddy of mine, and I as far as I know, it's still a tac driver.

Thanks all. I may venture out to 100yds. Does anyone have any comments from an optical quality perspective, BSA or Bushnell ? One of the 3 is going to get sent down from PA, so no opportunity to check them out first.

Interested to know if anyone has encountered the Viridian Venta ?

It was on the 308. Coarse I shoot. And that was the only 308 I had at the time as I remember.
