OK, so I got the bug this weekend and could not make up my mind. I sold one of my listed posts so here are my new purchases. I have not fired them yet but my intention is to make one my EDC instead of my M&P Shield 9MM.

Anyone have any experience with these brands and dependability. I figured If I don't like them, you will see them posted. But, If I do then I guess I will just have 2 nice ones. The luxury of being an ODT Member.

The American Classic has a lot of upgrades over the RIA. Both are made in the Philippines but only the RIA is Armscor.

A dependable RIA in an Commander size would be sweet. I've owned so many high end losers but I sure keep hearing good stuff about these.

Agreed, I owned an SR1911, kept it for 2 weeks and decided I did not like it. That's if you consider that High end. I don't really but, Just thought I would give these 2 a chance because I too have heard good things about them.

You are nuts if you plan on carrying a $400 1911 over a M&P.

Why do you say that? Is it because of the weight. I admit they are heavier by quite a bit actually but, I think some strange things sometimes also. The M&P shield has proven to be dependable but if the 1911's are as well I may just give it a try. Only time, trial, and error will see which one prevails. Thanks for your input.
