Yep, I had one.
My best friend had one and it had a plastic handle. Mine was a pot metal. We were throwing at trees (and they weren't good throwing knives at all either). His broke on the send throw. Mine kept going.
I'd love to see a custom knife maker reproduce it in quality materials if just for shoots and googles.
D2 differentially tempered blade or a nice VG10, titanium handle or bored micarta, titanium crossguard, cobalt skull crusher pommel with a SAS buttom compass on the inside, ferro rod and striker.
Really good stuff, but still paying tribute to the ugly bulbous toy knife.

Guilty as charged, wore it proudly on my LBE when we went to the field , I lost it in the Mojinga Swamp, Panama, compass were worthless there
Had one of these - first fixed blade - Broke It too quick to make and memories
