Just an imitation of Jim Carrey's shtick. Ace Ventura, Fireman Bob (or any of his characters from In Living Color). Which get really old really quickly, IMO.

My friends were all raving about it; I made it 20 minutes then went to do something productive.

His sense of humor is very much consistent with many special forces guys I have known in the past. His character is a poor ex- special forces dude in his 30's ish.
