Clapton, SRV, Gibbons, Hendrix,Gilmore are popular and I enjoy listening but the best?. All subjective. Hendrix can't flat pick like Roy Clark and he can't finger tap like Van Halen and he can't bend the strings like SRV and he can't slide like Dwayne Allman and he can't write melodies like Gilmore.etc. Prolly the best are not popular names
