Whole house generator

Hey guys,
Lost power for about 18 hours due to this storm. Not a big deal for me but wife is on a CPAP with several other health issues. What recommendations do you guys have as far as whole house generators? Spoke to the Generac folks but geez did the guy I spoke to have an attitude. Like I was trying to sell him something. But if they are the best I'll try them again. What say you, brethren?

Check with your CPAP supplier as they have a battery backup for the CPAC device that last 24 hours. You can also buy one on Amazon

I use this and lot less $$$ than whole house.

The Big Box stores carry Generac and have contractors to install them. We have one since we live in the mountains and we loose power several times a month. It’s much more convenient than a portable of which I have several for backup but I only run it every 4 hours or so to keep the refrigerator and freezer cold as I’m not going to waste propane to watch TV. Make sure you get one large enough to cover your needs.
