Who's our shotgun expert?

Guys, I'm trying to find out more info on a Beretta 686 Onyx Pro. I see them advertised online from 850 to 2700. Is there a "standard model" Onyx and then a Pro model?? The shotgun I'm looking at is gorgeous wood--doesn't look like a low end model, but it's crazy hard to find out info on different types of shotguns, and a lot of money at stake.

I want to get into sporting clays, skeet, etc... and have a good trade arranged for this Beretta. Just trying to gather more info and even the Beretta site doesn't list much info since this (apparently) isn't a current offering.

Who's our shotgun guru around here?

Some models are laminate and others are solid wood.

I got me a Beretta A300 recently. It shoots great-and I have had zero problems.

Mine just has a synthetic stock-but I wasn't really looking for pretty. Ran about $600

(I am lucky. I have tried much more expensive shotguns which I don't shoot as well. Great gun for the money!)

*but I sure ain't no expert. This thing fits the bill for me-and I shoot clays pretty well with it.
