I shot a big bodied deer in Ohio and it never took a step Rifle was a encore with a 20in barrel

Well, if you've ever shot one out of a revolver, it's not fun. Definitely developed a little flinch on the followups. .45 Long Colt felt like a .22 compared to that, out of the same revolver. I get their purpose and use but unless I was in grizzly country I wouldn't carry one.

It’s not bad at all in my ncore. I bet it is rough in a handgun.

^ yeah I tried it out of a 6" revolver. Not the most pleasant shooting experience. I bet it shoots nice out of a rifle.

I think the 2"" nonported weighs more than the 4" .500
