Why Are Guys Buying 10 Rd AK, AR And Pistol Mags?

There were plenty of 10 round pistol mags on the market when NWSharpshooter posted his thread about buying mags. I am not in the market for 10 rounders because I have a few and a bunch of 30's for my AK but it just looks to me that since these possible gun bills are getting publicity, people are snatching them up because they are afraid that they will be the only mags we can use.
Sounds crazy to me and I do love my 30 rounders. People seem scared.

This is what I don't get, if and that is a big IF, they do something with 10 rounds being mandatory, don't people think the mag manufacturers will start pumping out 10 round mags 24/7?

30+ mags are the ones to get if they are a'scared of what may happen.

Lanbos still has lots of 10 round mags.

10 rounders are easier than 40 to manage in a tree stand?
20 is easy to keep up with. A box of ammo -1 for the chamber.
30 just carries better than 40.

I've got a few mag orders on the way so I was good before and I'm comfortable now. Surprised that there are still plenty of them still in stock.

I bought 2 10rd lancer 300BO mags for my honey badger for load development off the bench...several 20rd mags cause they look good and 30rd mags for when SHTF.

Was looking at ammo online and started looking at mags and I see that LOTS of 10 round AK, AR and many pistol mags are sold out now. I am wondering if that is all people can find or are they getting ready for the possibility of laws changing to 10 round maximum like California? What is going on? Did I miss something as usual?

Perhaps they ran out of fire wood?

If you ever try shooting from a bench with a 30 round mag you will know the answer. Not to mention that for deer hunting, 10 rounds is more than enough. If I expected to get into a sounder of hogs I might use a larger mag but even then, 10 should be plenty.
As far as being sold out everywhere, at least with pistol mags it is likely due to the fact that they could not find the larger mags so then they went on to the smaller capacity mags till they were sold out too.

I guess either A) I am a giant, or B) all of you are midgets. I have never, never, NEVER had an issue bench shooting a 30 round mag or shooing prone for that matter. Guess being 6'6" has its advantages, until you encounter a low hanging ceiling fan.
