Nah, the closest I've been to a 500 was a guy shooting one at South River one afternoon. He let his buddy short it and he got a gnarly-ass burn on his left index finger. That was a big friggen revolver.

Marlin needs to make a lever 500 at a reasonable price. I had a 500 S&W 4 inch, but sold it because we didn't do the Montana wilderness area fishing trip we had planned. If they had been making a lever in 500 there is no way I would have sold it. It would be the ultimate revolver/lever combo.

And yes, they do have REALLY BIG trout in Montana. Ha! Beat you to it.
