I seriously can't find any FMJ .308 cal bullets in the 175-180gr range at all.
FMJ 168gr, yes.
175gr hollow point ninja tips, yes.
But apparently when you ask for those two things together in the same bullet, you're talking about a unicorn.
I've emailed Sierra, Nosler, and two smaller companies and they all say no:
"Jeff,
Unfortunately we only produce hollow-point boat-tail style target bullets here at Nosler in our Custom Competition line.
Best regards,
Nosler Inc."
Hornady and Speer websites are equally useless.
But I know somebody must be making them because the US M24 sniper rifle requires a 175 FMJ bullet.
So far the closest thing I've found is the Lapua D-46 FMJ 185gr. But that's just a little too heavy for the load I'm developing.
Somebody please help me out here.
