Why I’m quitting the ‘Walking Dead’ franchise

I feel like Walter White is the embodiment of low down and primal.
Well you could be right. But I have to point out that the difference in Breaking Bad and TWA or SOA is that in Breaking Bad ALMOST every time someone got killed they had it coming. That's why I still like the DeNiro,Pesci film Casino. Yeah it's long and even slow in some spots. But at the end everyone got what they had coming to them.

Thats what kinda pissed me off about the season finale, the last 20 minutes or so, the footage was all shot with them on their knees. I even told my wife, they must've had a budget on this episode. Lol
My wife has watched and researched that damn episode at least 3 times like it was the Zepruder films of the Kennedy assassination mapping out how everyone was positioned when the bat finally swung. And then she reads comments on some fan site.
Funny part is that we didn't start watching until my older daughter moved in with us at the end of 2014. We both assumed itmwould be gay as hell. In 2014 I even had a thread that was something like " What's with all this goofy zombie ****?" Back then everybody was still painting their guns bright green with zombie response **** all over them. Anyway the best response I got was " It's better than gay ass vampire ****."

Why I’m quitting the ‘Walking Dead’ franchise

"The one thing “The Walking Dead” has excelled at in its six seasons has been to force every character that’s survived into taking more and more brutal actions to continue to survive. This evolution is logically inevitable given the show’s central premises. The problem is that, in the end, there’s increasingly little daylight between the main characters and the myriad baddies that the show has introduced. Any character that deviates from this type is usually the victim of a shocking death.

With that kind of thematic constraint, the showrunners have resorted to narrative shortcuts to move along the plot."

I stopped watching around season 2 when they spent toooooooo much damn time on that farm.

I guess I'll eventually do a binge watch.

Good call. As those guys (Deniro, Pesci, Pacino, Liotta, etc...) get older, movies suck more and more - and I get sadder.

Well that's true. But I really haven't given a **** about movies since about 98/99. I am a big fan of DeNiro and Pesci films from Goodfellas to Cape Fear. And I really liked Heat. It sucks that it's not on Netflix or Hulu. But anyway DeNiro the person is a huge liberal douchebag. I don't know about Pesci and Liotta but I have no use for DeNiro the person.
I got turned on to the Sopranos way after it was over. I just assumed it would be cliche and cheesy when it was on. Plus I've never had HBO. But my mom bought me the first 2 seasons on DVD about 4 years ago. My wife liked it more than I did. And she won't even watch Seinfeld with me because she can't stand hearing Yankees talk. But we were hooked on it and bought every season. Long live Paulie Gualtieri!
Ohhhh!!!
