I had an ar15 when I was in high school like most people I decked it out and threw as much stuff on it as I could. Yeah I shot it a bunch but overall it never really impressed me and after dealing with army M16s I got rid of it I was over the platform and all the hype it had. It's no doubt a good and accurate rifle but like a baker around bread we spent so much time together I was done. Anyone else had some similar expirence?

Well no I did not! I had several Cheerleaders and a few from the band and more from the choir..And then their was the draft, I was introduced to the M1 Grand, damn thing was heavy carrying over the head, while running 5 miles in boot. I was only issued a 1911 colt for a side arm in country..Damn thing always got in the way of medical gear. Stopped carrying it, until I needed a hammer. Saw my first 16 after getting in Country.

Man I was army for a decade, infantry toting a M16A4 at first then an M4 (3rnd burst not an A1) the remaining 8 years....still own several ARs, still trust my SBR AR as my go to War gun. Owned AKs big and small, AR-9s, shottys in abundance and still love my AR variants. The army made me love mine even more. Mass producing ghosts with that b****

Yup. I have an AR, and about 90% of one in the safe. At one point I had a LOT of money in an AR. I ended up parting it out and building a much cheaper one that is still accurate. I just don't like them, but they're so prevalent that it's kind of silly to not have one as a fall back gun.

5.56 will never be a 7.62.

It's the most likely candidate to get buried in a tube.

I like my roller lock guns much more.
