Why would you drill holes into a piece of history?!

Need to vent a little...

I have been seeing WWII era rifles (German Mausers, Enfields, Mosins, Arisakas, etc.) on numerous gun sale sites.
I look at the pictures and think, wow that is a great looking piece of history.
Then I come across two little holes drilled into the receiver...

Lately, I've been looking for a Arisaka Type 99 with the Chrysanthemum Seal.
Happened to stumble across one, but what did I see between the Seal...? TWO BIG HOLES!!!...
Anyways... please people lets stop others from drilling....

Just Say No to Drilling Holes. LOL ;)

Because it's MINE and if I tear up one it makes the factory ones worth a little more.
