Elizabeth Roberts told police she shot her husband because she feared he would kill police officers headed to their home, documents said. She had told her husband that police knew about a large cache of weapons and explosives he had stored in their basement.

The Prosecutor’s Office says the woman who shot her husband, won’t face charges, after defusing what could have been a bloody and deadly assault on police.

Closed case nice and clean? Wait later she commits suicide 1 month later.

Oh and this occurred before she killed her husband:

A few weeks before the shooting, the couple were involved in an accident that seriously injured Elizabeth Roberts. Police said the two were driving separately when their vehicles "wrecked into each other."

Dont surround yourself with sheep. Why did they guy say he was going to kill police?

Well the wife said.....

Elizabeth Roberts ran to the Hancock County sheriff’s office to report some very erratic and dangerous behavior exhibited by her husband Gary. Roberts asked he be taken in for an evaluation.

After she ran back home and told her husband what she’d done, things got terrifying. Prosecuting Attorney Michael Griffin’s report says, “Gary told Elizabeth that when law enforcement arrived, Gary would kill as many law enforcement officers as he could.” The report goes on to say Gary went down to the basement of the home where he began loading his guns. There were a lot of weapons down there, with a retail value of $1,000,000, according to an ATF agent helping in this investigation.

This was just weeks prior to both of their cars colliding and Mrs. Roberts was injured. Seems no comments on what the two of them said of the event or specifics on any marital problems but running into your spouse's vehicle seems to qualify.

The husband couldn't comment as he was dead, shot by his wife to protect LEO that she alerted. I'm not sure who she was protecting when she killed herself a month later.....

I guess the story she provided is closure to this tragic case? I guess he was just another gunnut whack job and more proof that firearms need to be regulated more strictly.
