The age of handgun caliber choice is quickly coming to a close. The trajectory appears to be inexorably headed toward 9mm for just about every handgun manufacturer and just about every handgun model. Shooting ammo other than 9mm is impossibly expensive and difficult to acquire. One could reload 40S&W, 45ACP, 357Mag, 357Sig, etc., but beyond reloading, over the past few years these calibers have been gradually disappearing from shelves and from manufacturers' production lines. Will there ever be a variety of ammo choices again, or is the industry doomed to 9mm only and forever?

30 Super Carry by Federal is a new caliber. Just as the 40 S&W, 357Sig "replaced" 10MM and 38 Super and 357Mag replaced 38Spl and 30-30 replaced 30WCF (I think?) We are just at another industry turning point and will be seeing new calibers shortly.

Also noted, 327 Federal and 45GAP is only mentioned because they are not worth the mention. Lol
