I have both, an original 1897 Winchester and a Norinco clone. Both function identically and run smooth. The slam fire is actually faster than a semi-auto. The original Winchester parts may be a little more rugged than the Norinco clone,

I love my slam-fire pumps, and I own several, but if you are slam-firing faster than your semi-auto will cycle and fire, there’s something wrong with your semi-auto.
