Hello ... just scored one of my bucket list rifles. A 1979 model 84 Trapper in .30 .30.
1). This gun has fiber optics on front and rear. The look like Truglo model sites and their packaging specifically states that they are not fit a carbine length. Did Winchester put fiber optics on the 16 inch Trapper? I haven’t shot it yet to see how badly off they are. I bought this from a friend and his brother bought it new.
2). Condition is average- wood is nice with few handling marks. Bluing is only fair in my book so it’s a shooter not a safe queen. I want to add the large lever loop. I notice the the hole where the link attaches is not a perfect oval shape but is a curved oval. Is the large loop available for this style?
