It'll be different this year. I predict lots of trees and powerlines down from heavy accumulation. If you dont have an alternative heat source planned, NOW is the time to do so.

I just rebuilt two kerosene heaters. Now to get the kerosene.

I stocked up on 3 cords of firewood earlier in the year & just recently bought a Powertrax Lock-Right locker for the ranger. Since I have a 2wd truck I need to make sure both tires are spinning! I'll get snow tires as well if the rims on craigslist aren't priced so high.

i have backpack with extremely warm clothes, food like health /grainola bars and water, pair of comfortable hiking boots.

if the road ices over and I'm out I'm just walking and will pick up my car when the ice melts, and help push folks who are stuck on my way if they invite me to share their car heater I'll accept for awhile(if they don't invite me to ride then I'll just keep walking)
