Anybody actually read the story? The bigger jerk is whoever dumped the dogs.

Yes we read the article, yes dumping dogs in the woods is a bigger jerk than mistakenly shooting what you thought was a wolf. I can totally understand that.

The stupidity comes from skinning it and showing off on Facebook to ignorant to know it was a husky, then making up a story that it attacked you.
