TruPrep has an ongoing series of workshops that includes classes on concealed carry, home and personal security, legal aspects of self defense, reloading fundamentals, first aid, and food preparation and storage. The Basic Food Preparation and Preservation Workshop is taught by the lovable and huggable Douglas King II. Doug is well known for his gun rights activism and his skills as a seasoned defense attorney. What a lot of people don't know is Doug loves baking and general prepping. He makes a mean loaf of bread! This class gets great reviews as the information Doug presents is great and Doug is an excellent lecturer, teacher, and speaker.
In this workshop, you will learn about pre-packaged food storage systems such as Wise Foods and Gourmet Reserves as well as how to prepare and store your own food. This will include education on the use of all the products we offer including water filtration, pressure cookers and canners, dehydrators, grain mills, meat grinders and more. Also learn how to utilize mylar bags and oxygen absorbers to preserve your food and get the most out of your hard work. Samples of our food storage systems will also be available for you to try out!
This class covers topics such as:
Pre-packaged Food Storage Systems
Pressure canning with glass jars
Non-pressurized canning
Dehydrators
Grain mills
Meat grinders
How to store your own dry food with mylar bags and oxygen absorbers
This class is limited to 15 students and costs $20. The cost of the class includes a $10 store gift certificate!
