Wow, nobody else is in the woods on 12/23?

I’m set up in a creekbottom that divides two sections of clearcut. There has been some recent buck sign laid down in this area. I’m hoping he shows up before dark this evening. I brought my new rifle out for her maiden voyage. Good luck to anybody else that is out this evening.

Im more than a bit jealous. Stuck at the house with wave after wave of family coming through.

I got out to the property late this morning, saw 10 deer before I even got out of the truck. Didnt see anything else by 9, so I went and put a stand in a new, drier location to do some late season bow hunting out of. Sitting in box stand with the rifle in a soggy pecan orchard this afternoon.

Not in the woods, I spent the morning in church and the afternoon splitting and stacking firewood. I did take the dog for a walk in the woods though, does that count?

Haven’t seen anything moving today in Cherokee co. Hunted this morning and came back after lunch. But 2 bags of corn, a 1/2 bushel of apples and a mineral block gone in 3 days. The pic is the largest track I’ve seen since early December.

Only saw 1 deer at 8am in a creek bottom 40 yards out standing in front of my trail cam.

My Wife and Daughter went for a bicycle ride and my Son is at his friend’s house. I took advantage of the alone time and decided to hit the woods. It’s a little bit too windy for my liking, but I can’t kill them from my couch!
