I see the OP's point. When I didn't know anything about Glocks, I had to go through the same thing. Or someone would offer a Glock in trade and I would have to Google the caliber.

Now I know most of them. I also know after having 6 of them that I don't like them. YMMV.

Agree with some of the other posters...

If we're talking a Smith & Wesson M&P... caliber is vital to post... since there's no other way to differentiate.

Whereas Glock specifically calls out caliber by model number. If you don't know the model/caliber... chances are you're not a serious enough buyer... you need to do more research before shopping.
