Lenny started out in USPSA shooting many many years ago. These type of handles were born for race guns, starting with 1911 based scoped pistols. You needed an aid to help slide racking and clearing jams. Many of us first used Remington 1100 charging handles filed down to fit the dovetail. Yes, this piece looks odd on a non scoped non race gun but is a needed part on a so equipped weapon.
