My only complaint is it kicks like a donkey! I want to have a custom butt pad made for it so it takes some of the stomp out of it. It is painful to shoot but I love it.

I have the same rifle. When I first purchased (1982) and began sighting it in, I thought I had made a big mistake and seriously contemplate selling (after firing 5 rounds) due to painful recoil. I decided to try a synthetic stock (Bell and Carlson) and have never looked back. The recoil is hardly noticeable. I've taken many deer and never had one run more than a few yards. Great firearm and a good round capable of long shots.
