Your Grandfathers Pocket Knife

Grandaddy carried a big ol' Case Elephant's Toenail that he used to let me carry when I was little. I was puffed up like a toad when I carried it, but had to keep one hand busy holding up my pants. He always got a laugh at watching me try to open it. Left it to me in his will, but an uncle had other plans so I never saw it again. That knife was huge to a little guy in the early 50's.
My Dad was partial to the Case Muskrat Trapper (2 Blade). I have 4 or 5 that he wore down to needles over the years. He always made sure we boys carried a Barlow around the farm - just a workhorse pocket knife. Went through plenty of them. Was always one in the stocking every couple of years or so. You'd better have it with you and it'd better be sharp if he was around.
