Wilson Combat 1911 compact CQB. My EDC and have never held a gun that's a better fit that gives ultimate confidence in making the shot.

Sort of depends on intent. Target, long range, combat, pocket, and concealed carry, many choices and you have chosen (Sig 226) combat service full size gun.
It's really a great weapon and a top shelf gun. Hard to beat. If I had a full size HK USP, a Sig 226, a Glock full size, an FN full size, a Springfield XDM full size and a nice 1911 all in the same caliber and had to make a choice, I'd be like a woman at a 50% off shoe sale who could only get one pair.
It's really hard for me to hate on any of them as they are all fine pistols. Someone else is going to have to pick a "best" as this may take me a while.
