How many of y'all are over all this "zombie" stuff? Guess its a cleaver sells gimmick due to the nature of video games I guess. But Me myself I am over it.

As the ranks of potential politically correct enemies has dwindled, zombies are filling in. As 07JKX said, you can kill a zombie without getting in trouble or feeling bad...there's no advocacy group for zombies that will protest or boycott if a movie or game portrays killing them.
It's just a placeword for any kind of emergency scenario you have in mind. Whether it's due to a huge natural disaster, war, total economic collapse leading to total chaos. Just a placeword for what you are really preparing for.
resident evil 5 got some harsh criticism b/c it took place in Africa... ie mowing down a ton of "black" zombies.
