How about sharing your recipe for SHRIMP AND GRITS, have had a good big bowl full in a long................ time!!

Grits 1 cup white stone ground grits, 4+cups water,1 1/4 tsp kosher salt,1/2 stick butter 2/3 cup sharp cheddar cheese 1/3 cup parmigiano cheese, pepper, tabasco--- Cook grits, salt, 1/2 butter 45/60 min, remove from heat and add rest of ingredients and stir, keep warm
Shrimp 1 1/2 lb shrimp (no imported shrimp allowed) shelled and deveined, salt pepper to taste, 2 Tbs.all-purpose flower, 6 oz bacon cut int 1/2 in. cubes and fried,1/3 lb. button mushrooms sliced, 2/3 cup diced red peppers, 2 cloves minced garlic, 1/3 cup slice green onion, 2 plump tomatoes diced 1/3 cup chicken stock,4 tsp lemon juice,1 1/2 tsp tabasco --- season shrimp with salt/pepper toss with flour to coat use bacon fat to saute shrimp in smalll batches until ALMOST cooked (not long) transfer each batch to warm plate, With more bacon fat saute mushrooms bell pepper garlic some salt and pepper until soft (5 to 7 min) add shrimpand juices the bacon green onions tomatoes stock lemon juice and tabasco. cook, stirring frequently until shrimp are opaque and the vegies are heated through- 2 to 3 min Serve over grits with a gooooood red wine or fav ale Enjoy zoneone

Damn my mouth just started watering reading that! Sounds awesome and welcome to the ODT!!
