More than likely yes. I've put Skinner sights on 2 of my 30-30s and am still sorting out the correct front sight post height. If you go that route SGT Murphy, go with the red fiber optic front sight post. BIG improvement over the original brass bead.
For hunting in the eastern part of the US, the 30-30 is hard to beat. I've killed a nice 9 point at 30 yards and a 279 pound wild boar at 125 yards, at night, with a Kill Light and iron sights (one shot to the head). The rifles are light, quick handling, quick to reload, and accurate enough...

Jeddak pretty much summed it up. Baikal guns are solid, well made, reliable shooters. Remington sold imported Baikal shotguns several years back under the Spartan name. I have a Baikal .22/20 gauge over and under combo gun that I plan to hold onto for life.
