I went primarily with the Tanfoglio as I was looking for a kind of target designated weapon(s) and I am a 38 Super and 10 MM guy.
as CZ doesn't offer either caliber and I already had 2 regular steel framed Tangs this was a natural choice to
go with as the standards are very accurate, really...
yea I got two Tanfoglios as well, the Elite Match and they were less money than the Shadow 2 and both will out shoot it as well and at about 2/3 the money.
but the Shadow 2 is a sweet shooter, especially rapid fire, it just lays on the target.
The 97 BD is the one that surprises me, man this...
I use Hi-Viz or Dawson precision myself.
really depends a lot on the particular weapon.
Dawson has a lot of different weapons covered and offers height sizes.
Hi -Viz has the option on most models to change the Fiber Optic rod without cutting it and offers several colors of rods.
both work...
well generally speaking an aluminum/steel ammo (here in the US of A) is likely that because they are trying to sale it as cheap as possible and mostly as range fodder.
so to add a heavier projectile (the costliest part of a handgun bullet) and move powder charge up to plus P levels would...
to each their own!
another BEST BULLET, or so the claim.
to me the number one thing is 120% reliability in the pistol that its going to be used in, number two is projectile placement, number 3 is to use a modern self defense projectile.
after that every thing else varies from shooting, gel...
First I have a 10/22 and a S & W Ar 15-22 and guess what I don't have either for sale!
soo!
they are both good weapons and both a lot of fun.
the S & W I think will shoot round for round with the Ruger and is a lot of fun.
so to me it depends on what you want and how you want it to look and...
and don't forget , more than likely if you put a can on the barrel then you aren't going to have any sights as typically they are to short to work with a can.
Cajun Gun Works and CZ-USA can answer and provide you with pretty much anything that you want or need.
Basically any variation of the CZ-75 mag will work in your compact, it will extend below the frame however.
cz-75 compact, PCR, and P-01 take the same mag.
check Greg Cote for best prices usually. hes also a mag guru and can answer any questions that you have. additionally Mec-Gar makes...
Check Dawson Precision!
if they don't have one already they will make you one more than likely.
I like the SR1911 Target model in 10 MM a lot, a whole lot.
But I ended up going with another Tanfoglio Elite Match in 10 MM just a few days back.(cost was 745 plus tax.)
I already own a 38 Super...
Gosh I have owned like 5 Bersa thunder over the years, between friends and family talking me into selling them.
I now have 2 and I must say they have all ran 100% or so damn close to it that I can't remember a problem'
by the way OP if you think that pissed you off, just mention to the...
I use the projectiles for several calibers but don't buy factory ammo.
In several weapons they are marginally the most accurate bullet.
as for failure to expand, not consistent expansion, well that can be said for pretty much any self defense round IF you look at bal test long enough.
1) bal...
Pretty sure the one pistol would be the CZ SP-01 Tactical or the CZ SP-01 Shadow -2.
the CZ 97 would be in the running except I would get tired of carrying all that heavy 45 acp ammo around.
haven't seen one in the wild yet.
Handled a Mock up ( same size, weight, sights and you could change mags but it wasn't a real pistol, it was a Sig display.
I must say it fit me like a glove, very nice size (with the 10 round extended mag) that gives space for my pinky and is still fairly flat...
Mine has been a very good shooter.
here is the first couple of targets with it, needed to get use to the gun and adjust the sights a bit.
now shes purring pretty well.
flawless as to function, but that's to be expected --its a CZ.
appears to have a Tactical thumb safety, vent trigger, other than that hard to say as mentioned
earlier models with a NM serial prefix meant they were assembled here.
kind of stingy with the pics there, so can't tell a lot about the gun .
I agree it looks like a recoat on the finish. why not...
well gosh!
IF you want cheap, accurate, you weight every load anyway and speed is not a concern well--- why not just use a dipper system?
either buy a set of Lee Dippers or make you some custom ones for the weight , caliber ,powder that you are using. dippers were used for a long time, they...
well not wanting to criticize but be pro active here.
so has the OP ever thought about buying pistols that have lanyard rings??
maybe a lanyard ring and a nice cord or light weight chain would eliminate this problem?
seriously one should be really careful about forgetting a firearm for many...
CZ has been making a splash in the competiton circuit.
MY 97 BD is one sweet shooter and for an out of the box 45 acp , well let me just say that my 1911 don't get out of the safe much anymore for range visits.
the SP-01 Shadow -2, well its simply the cats meow, another competition design ...
