  1. What guns are you in the process of buying now?

I'm giving serious thought on a Henry Big Boy All-Weather .44, and a Henry Mare's Leg in .44 to possibly SBR. My wife, on the other hand, is giving serious thought on divorce because I want to buy fun stuff, while she states we're practically wearing burlap. :(
  2. Remington 870 Police SBS barrel question

I feel much better with written word from an ATF representative with his signature on the e-mail. I've heard of folks doing what I will be doing, regarding keeping the components separate, but I feel much better having something solid from the agency that can make a firearm owner's life quite...
  3. Remington 870 Police SBS barrel question

My worry was exactly a fear of no-tolerance from the ATF. This morning, however, I received a reply from a gentleman with the ATF: "It is permissible to possess the short barrel as long as it is stored separately." Short, sweet, and to the point. With that reply in my favor, I'm going to...
  4. Remington 870 Police SBS barrel question

Question for you, cmshoot, if you don't mind. I decided to ask here as it may help other folks. I have yet to submit my Form 1, but I found a gentleman on Gunbroker with 14" LE trade-in barrels. Might you know if it's legal to purchase and possess the barrel, provided it is not attached to the...
  5. Remington 870 Police SBS barrel question

Thank you very much, cmshoot. I was hoping someone with an SBS would chime in. I suspect such since they are LE/MIL intended, but I wanted to make sure.
  6. Remington 870 Police SBS barrel question

I like the looks of the Tac, TREYM, but I prefer having a buttstock. To add the buttstock, I'm in NFA territory again, and I prefer the older 870s. I'm not a snob, I swear, but I do love those old Police models that already have a bit of wear and tear on them. :)
  7. Remington 870 Police SBS barrel question

Thank you much, Kahrnut. The stock and forend will be changed to Magpul so I can achieve a shorter LOP, and run a sling with QD points. This shotgun will be for home defense, and, if my measurements are correct, a long gun I can fit in the trunk of my trike for when I am travelling in state...
  8. Remington 870 Police SBS barrel question

Good morning, all. I hope I'm not posting this in the wrong forum. If I have, I apologize, and ask that a moderator please move this thread. I have never owned an NFA item, but, being a rather rabid shotgun fan, I am contemplating picking up a police trade-in 870, and replacing the 18" barrel...
  9. What happened to the Lithgow F90 Atrax?

    Thank you much, Shinobi!
  10. Good afternoon, all.

Thank you much! Love my Freewheeler! Had to give up two wheels, but couldn't imagine not riding. The trike keeps me rolling! :D
  11. Good afternoon, all.

Uh oh. How about this: Even though I have moved away from Glocks, I maintain they are good, solid sidearms :)
  12. Good afternoon, all.

Good morning, all. Thank you all so very much for the welcomes! This seems quite a nice place to visit and chat. Puts me in mind of a huge cyber kitchen table, or front porch. Good places for conversation and solving world problems lol. Aaron
  13. Good afternoon, all.

    Thank ya, D_Max!
  14. Good afternoon, all.

Thank you much for the welcome, bagman and MuleShoe!
  15. Good afternoon, all.

The title says it all! :D Ok, not really. My name is Aaron, and I hail from Charleston, West Virginia. I came across your site while researching a rifle, read a few other threads regarding different topics that caught my eye, and liked what I saw. I reckon that wraps me up. Take care, all...
  16. What happened to the Lithgow F90 Atrax?

Good afternoon, falken. I apologize for reviving a thread that has been dormant for better than two months. I came across your question while Googling any updates regarding the Atrax. I am very interested in the rifle, and have sent queries to Lithgow, Lithgow's Director of Business...
