    My BIL lives in Charleston and has for about 15 years now, and we visit regularly. Can't say I've ever seen a deer in the burbs there. But plenty of oysters, crabs, and fishing. Oh and gators. Now I'm curious, I'll have to ask him if he knows anyone that hunts deer in the area.

    I feel you. Luckily I have good neighbors who keep an eye on things while I'm away. If they see the gate open or a vehicle they don't recognize I hear from them. Can't stand trespassers or poachers.

    I hate ticks, hornets, and almost stepping on snakes, but my number one fear in the woods is other people. Especially when they're where they aren't supposed to be.

    Most hunters I talk to don't think it's long enough! They wish they could hunt year round.
