Gets no respect from from the average truck guy but I don’t choose my vehicles based on what other people want or would buy. 95% of those bashing them have never driven one, and a large percentage of those would never exceed its capabilities even if they did own one. For the average guy not...
It’s a shame you can’t buy a reasonably priced new truck these days. It looks like it’s going to take another gas crunch with super high prices to get the average person who doesn’t need a truck back in to smaller more fuel efficient vehicles. The problem seems to be the popularity with folks...
I’ve been using this for years on my vehicle interiors and it works great. Used to be really tough to find local. Doesn’t have that shiny, greasy, forever wet surface of Armor All.
Lexol for leather.
The hard covers look nice but make no sense to me. I guess if you never carry any cargo that sticks up past the top of the bed you would be fine. Wouldn’t work for me. I have a soft roll up style but it’s just because is was on the truck when I bought it used. I like the hard rollup ones...
Etching primer is used on bare metal to give it some bite so it will stick. In my experience it is also porous and will rust from underneath if left exposed in the elements. Has happend to me in a matter of a couple months. If you are going to the expense, or are investing the time in...
Yeah, I do that all the time too. I have really gotten some crap, poor quality parts from LMC. Hopefully this will work out well for you. Dennis Carpenter seems to have better quality stuff from my experience but all of them tend to have their share of crap you have to watch out for. Let me...
I don't see it at LMC anymore. Here is a kit from Tom's: https://www.tomsbroncoparts.com/product/h4-halogen-headlight-conversion-w-heavy-duty-wiring-harness-kit-66-77-ford-bronco-new
I think LMC Truck sells a conversion kit and I believe one of the guys over on the Fordification.com forums also makes and sells a relay harness if you don't want to make your own. When I get my restoration closer to completion I plan on upgrading mine but haven't paid close attention to the...
About what I have on my non aspirated 02. I saw a mazdaspeed turbo setup for sale a while back that I almost pulled the trigger on but decided I had too many projects already.
Another I forgot to mention was the MPG claims. Always at least 5mpg better than the crazy optimistic original window sticker ratings... I guess after 20 years and 200,000 miles things loosen up and your mileage doubles. :p Some of the best ones I see are on this site too. Ha!
I've had my eyes open for another toy to add to the stable but scanning the online ads are just maddening. I don't have time to call every frickin yahoo that can't put enough info in the description to indicate if it might be what the buyer is after. I'm sure I have probably missed out, and...
