I worked at an International dealership. Standard Repair Time is what the industry calls for when billing a customer. The dealership gets paid for everything they claim on warrenty work...pressure cleaning(1 hour), test drive(1 hour), ect...doesn't matter if it only takes 10 minutes.
2005 Silverado 1500, it had a 4.8l with a 4l60e. I put a 6.0l with 4l80e.
Bought HPtuner for the program, deleted to viscous fan and went with dual electric. That was kind of a PITA, had to wire the ECM.
Truck is a beast for towing and power.
Been having this fault for a while where my engine would try to stall out after running for about 5 minutes when I came to a stop. Would only do it until the ECM stopped trying to use closed loop.
Was getting codes for o2 sensors, lean bank 2, misfires.
I checked plugs, wires, coil packs...
My bad, just re-read your post. Either the heater core is clogged or the blend-door is stuck. Both will cause cooler air.
Try back flushing the heater core
Original...I'm surprised...the wife never had the trans fluid changed until 150,000 miles. I've replaced the plenum seal, lifter seals, MAF, ICV, ECM, IAC valve, front wheel hubs, complete rebuild of the a/c system, and all the regular maint. Burns a quart of oil every 1000 miles (but no...
That's the original sticker info for our vehicle/engines. I would like to think my vehicle is in tip-top shape for its age and mileage. Gas prices just hurt at the pump.
Despite me hating the gas pump cost. Its nice not having an auto payment (for the past 12 years). It has definitely earned its keep and i will continue to keep it running.
The latest thing I've done to it is clean the throttle body and replace the IAC valve due to stalling at idle.
Way...
I have a thing for crunching numbers every now and then.
2000 Dodge Durango 5.9 with 275,000 miles has an average gas mileage of 13 mpg over its life (according to the display).
That means that its cost about $41,000 in gas so far and will cost about $5,000 more to get to 300,000 miles.
Its...
Put a new set General Grabber AT2s on my Silverado 1500, had a belt break in the sidewall(no curb rash) and a blowout going down a gravel road. Set of tires had less than 5000 miles. Scrapped them and put on Firestone Transforce, never had a single issue, 40000 miles and counting.
There is a product called Counteract balancing beads that balance your tires basically for the life of the tire. We use them in our shop and cost about the same as getting your tires balanced to start with.
There is a wiring harness behind the kick panel. My light was going on an off and driving me nuts. Did some research on it and you have disconnect your battery, wait for the airbag to disarm, disconnect the connection, clean with compressed air, put a little dielectric grease in it, reconnect...
