I would email remington the serial number. They will give you a production date.
I dont see it being a collector but I would give them $350 to go with my other model 11s that I use just like I bought them from a gun shop. I inherited both of mine but would love a short barrel for home duty.
I had no idea of the age of my Grandfathers gun. When I got the reply that it was 1931 I was very surprised. The gun ran 100% on the dove field.
Thats a cool resource. I found Remington's customer service to very quick to reply and helpful.
I have this 20 and a 12. The 12 is not doing so well. I brought it home to clean for my grandfather 15-20 years ago. I disassembled and the stocks got damaged by squirrels or rats in my shop. The metal has been bead blasted but never blued due to the stocks. One day!
Can anyone give me an idea of how old this shotgun is? I have a shotgun I got from my dad that is a 20 ga model 11 the serial number is 1010100. I'm shooting birds with it later today and wondered if anyone knew approximate age?
I'm guessing the one on the bottom? That is the one with markings. The one with the bad camo job has fewer markings.
BTW thank you to whomever moved this to the proper section
I have two rifles I know very little about.
One is US model 1917 Winchester.
The second is also a bolt action but I don't see any words. There are numbers stamped into it. OT2934 appears on the action and barrel. OT3106 is on the bolt handle.
I doubt I will ever fire either I was just curious...
